How to Submit and Ship Cards to PSA for Grading

Before you package and ship your cards, the first step is creating a submission order through PSA. Follow the steps below to set up your submission correctly and avoid delays.

Step 1: Enter Your Cards

Use the PSA app to scan your cards for instant identification, or enter the details manually on the PSA website. The system will automatically populate card information to make the process quick and accurate.

Step 2: Select Service Levels

PSA will provide an estimated graded value for each card and suggest the most appropriate service level. You can accept these recommendations or adjust them based on your needs.

Step 3: Choose Your Return Option

Decide what happens after grading. You can have your cards shipped back to you, stored securely in the PSA Vault, or even listed directly on eBay.

Step 4: Review Your Submission

Double-check your entries, service levels, and destination choices. Make sure everything is correct before proceeding to checkout.

Step 5: Complete Checkout

Select your preferred payment method, either from saved options or by adding a new one, and finalize your submission order.

Step 6: Prepare for Shipping

After confirming your order, the next step is to safely package your cards and ship them to PSA. For detailed instructions, see the PSA Shipping Guide below.

PSA Shipping Guide

Follow these steps to protect your cards and ensure your submission arrives safely at PSA. Proper packaging not only protects your cards but also helps keep your estimated turnaround time on track.

Step 1 – Gather Your Supplies

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • Your completed submission form

  • Clear penny sleeves

  • Semi-rigid card holders (size: 3 5/16" x 4 7/8" for standard cards)

  • Hobby Armor 4" x 6" Graded Card Shipping Protectors (cardboard or plastic versions)

  • Rubber bands

  • A new, sturdy shipping box

  • Bubble wrap or other packing materials

  • Strong packing tape

Step 2 – Sleeve Each Card

Place each card into a clear penny sleeve. Avoid opaque or colored sleeves, as they may cause delays in processing.

Step 3 – Insert Cards into Semi-Rigid Holders

Carefully slide each sleeved card into a semi-rigid holder. Both sides of the card should remain fully visible.
⚠️ Do not use toploaders, tape, pull tabs, or sticky notes.

Step 4 – Organize Your Cards

Stack your cards in the exact sequence listed on your submission form, with Item #1 at the top.

Step 5 – Secure the Stack

Place the stack of cards between two Hobby Armor 4" x 6" Graded Card Shipping Protectors (available in both cardboard and plastic). Secure them with 2–3 rubber bands: snug enough to prevent shifting, but not so tight that they could cause damage.

Step 6 – Wrap and Box the Cards

Wrap the secured stack with bubble wrap or packing paper, then place it inside a new shipping box. Fill any empty spaces so the contents cannot move during transit.

Step 7 – Include Your Submission Form

Put the printed submission form inside the box. If you’re sending multiple submissions, keep each bundle wrapped and separated.

Step 8 – Seal the Box

Use strong packing tape to seal all seams of the box securely. Avoid using painter’s tape, scotch tape, or old/reused tape.

Step 9 – Apply Your Tracking Label

Attach the tracking label ID from your confirmation page to the outside of the box. Use clear tape or a printed sticker label, making sure the barcode is fully visible.

Step 10 – Address the Box Correctly

Ship to the correct PSA location based on your carrier:

Via USPS:
CU Receiving
P.O. Box 6180
Newport Beach, CA 92658

Via UPS, FedEx, or DHL:
CU Receiving
1600 E. St Andrew Place
Santa Ana, CA 92705

The addresses listed here are accurate as of the time this guide was written. We strongly recommend confirming the current address on the official PSA website before shipping to ensure accuracy.
